Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan is the only Canadian province with a trade office in the United Arab Emirates.
Saskatchewan is a powerhouse in agriculture, potash, uranium, oil and gas and forestry production. The province is the world’s largest producer of potash and top exporter of pulse crops. Saskatchewan is home to the highest-grade uranium deposits in the world, the largest carbon capture, utilization and storage project and to North America’s first minerals-to-metals rare earth processing facility, and cutting edge research and development centres.
Saskatchewan is Canada's largest agri-food exporter to the United Arab Emirates. In 2023, exports to the Middle East and North Africa, supported by Saskatchewan’s Dubai office, were worth more than $1 billion dollars.
